What size bike should I buy?

At Cannondale we are all about the ride and we want our customers to feel the same way! We spend vast amounts of time designing our bikes and having one that fits poorly can undo all of our best efforts.

In order to maximize the bike’s potential, we firmly believe that customers should work with their local Cannondale retailer to be fitted for their new bike. As every person's body is different and height alone does not determine comfort, it's important to work with your local shop to find a bicycle that fits you as a rider. Your local shop will help you identify which platform of bicycle is right for you.  Test riding the bike can complete the sizing process as you’ll be able to feel the differences between frame sizes.

While components can be adjusted to fit the rider, a correctly sized bike will result in a rider utilizing roughly the middle range of a component’s adjustment or available sizes. When faced with fitting in-between two sizes of bike, we recommend sizing down to the smaller size. While a longer stem can be fit to the bike to reach the desired adjustment, the larger bike will always have a longer wheelbase and higher top tube, things that cannot be adjusted via a component change.
